So, I'm pretty bad at keeping up with this. Today, Angie and I took a walk around the square downtown. This was a self-pic that turned out pretty nice.
Yesterday was Priscilla's last Sunday as a full-time WBC attender. She will be missed...greatly. Here's a photo I took of some of our church family. Priscilla is second from the right.
I slept through prayer this morning but met the guys at Teresa's for a delicious, bacon-centric breakfast. As people were probably looking at me strangely (as is often for a photographer, methinks), I snapped this shot, holding the camera above and in front of me. I'm sort of a fan of not looking through the viewfinder sometimes.
I've decided to take more photos of food. Who doesn't like looking at deliciousness? This tray of assorted muffins was featured on WBKO's Mid-Day Live yesterday. I wonder what they'll be cooking up today.
So, I've dropped the ball just five days in. I didn't take a photo for three full days. There will be more times like these, I'm sure of it. Anyway, we were walking on WKU's campus last night, and I snapped this without looking through the viewfinder. I thought it was somewhat interesting. It's a photo, nonetheless. Enjoy.
After work yesterday, I took a stroll around the building I work in. I was hoping to get some cool satellite photos, since we have 30-bajillion of those (8 or so), but they're kind of ugly and dirty. So, I did what any lost photographer might do...took a snapshot of a nearby chain-link fence?!?
I'm a rule breaker. Here's photo #2 from yesterday. I delivered Angie her new/used iPhone at her place of employment. Turns out, she works in the old WBKO building downtown. I had never pieced that together. Very odd, since I work at the new/used WBKO building. So, this is the old radio tower that we made use of whilst there.
Last night was Backyard BBQ night at WBC. We OD'd on BBQ, Bs, Ds, and CC with a little BYOB for good measure. WTF, mate? Anyway, I walked behind this kid and said, "Look up, Eli!" Turns out his name really was Eli. I'm hungry.
On my way home from work yesterday evening, I got caught by the train on Dishman. I seriously considered pulling over, walking up toward the train and experimenting with motion blur shots, but laziness won. In the meantime, I ended up taking this self-portrait.
And so Project 365: Jon Doss Edition begins. Nothing exciting here. Just a dirty plate full of dish soap. A neutral beginning to this journey. I hope to see my photography skills grow through this process, and hopefully it will make me think more outside the box.
